National Youth Day, observed on 12th January every year, is a tribute to Swami Vivekananda, a legendary thinker and reformer whose birthday we celebrate to ignite the spirit of youth across India. His teachings emphasised strength, self-confidence and the importance of education, inspiring generations to work towards national progress. This day serves as a reminder that the youth are the catalysts of change, carrying the torch of hope and development.
The NSS club hosted the session to empower the young minds to realise their potential and serve the society, with the ideologies of Swami Vivekananda. They encouraged the youth to be fearless, disciplined and compassionate values essential for the next generation. The speakers reiterated the rapid rise of Artificial Intelligence, by which youth have unprecedented opportunities to innovate and lead societal progress, but it also calls for responsible usage and ethical awareness. The students were emphasised to be responsible in their behaviour, respecting nature, contributing positively to society, while developing a balanced outlook, embracing technology and staying rooted in human values.
As the future of India depends on the youth who are enlightened, responsible and proactive and with AI and other advancements, let us steer the nation towards sustainable growth. Let this National Youth Day inspire every young individual to embody the ideals of Swami Vivekananda by becoming the leaders of change, guardians of value and architects of a brighter and balanced India. Around 200 students participated in the celebrations.
