Financial literacy equips individuals with the necessary skills to manage their finances effectively, make sound investments, and secure their financial future. Understanding this critical need, the Finance Club “Aarjitha” and the Training and Placement cell jointly organised a workshop on the SEBI Investor Awareness Program on 30th December 2025 to educate students on the nuances of the financial markets.
This program commenced with the signing of a Letter of Understanding, formalising the partnership to promote investor education among students. The initiative seeks to expand the knowledge of financial instruments, market operations and investment planning, preparing them to confidently enter the world of share markets and investment activities. The sessions provided by SEBI experts covered a wide range of topics, including the basics of stock trading, mutual funds, risk assessment and regulatory protections available to investors. This comprehensive approach ensures that students gain a well-rounded understanding of the financial ecosystem.
By amplifying investor education through this collaboration, students can make financially informed decisions and avoid common investment pitfalls, encouraging responsible investing habits in the long run. With the backing of SEBI, efforts of Aarjitha provide students with a strong foundation to navigate the complexities of finance confidently and responsibly. Around 150 students, together with faculty members, joined the program.
